Aniqa Rahman, BA

Aniqa joined the Technology and Aging Lab and the Geriatric Psychiatry Research Program after graduating from Mount Holyoke College in 2018 with a double major in Biology and Religion. In college, she worked in the Woodard Lab for two years conducting research on fat-body remodelling and post-eclosion genes in fruit flies. As a religion major, she focused on ontology and hermeneutical phenomenology in religious philosophy and history. At McLean, Aniqa works in the ethics division of the tech lab that is primarily engaged with writing publications on the ethics of technology in clinical practice. Currently, she is collaborating on a paper on the limitations of de-identification and the regulation of personal health information (PHI) in digital health research with Dr. Benjamin Silverman. Aniqa hopes to go to medical school in the future.
