Miranda Skurla, BS
Miranda joined the Technology & Aging Lab in December 2018 and also works in the Geriatric Psychiatry Research Program at McLean Hospital. She graduated from Lafayette College earlier that spring with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a B.A. in Government/Law. As an undergraduate, she completed an Honors Thesis that used literature from neuroscience and cognitive psychology on age-related changes in brain activity and cognitive function to predict the behavior of aging Supreme Court Justices. She also carried out an independent study in the Neuroscience Program that analyzed data for a study on the effects of a polyphenols on the motor ability, lifespan, and dopaminergic neuron degeneration in a fruit fly LRRK2 knockout model. She hopes to attend law school and concentrate in health law and policy.
